🌱Grassroots Launch Fund
Together, we build something strong, one grain at a time.
Help us build a more accessible, inclusive community
Social Advocacy Network of Disabilities (SAND) is a grassroots, disability-led nonprofit working to break barriers through advocacy, community, and education.
Your donation helps bring connection, access, and opportunity to Disabled adults across Oregon, especially in communities where support is limited or nonexistent.
Employment & Empowerment
SAND doesn’t just support Disabled adults, we hire and empower them.
Your donation helps fund a Community Health Navigator, creating:
meaningful employment
work credit opportunities toward SSDI
leadership pathways
long-term economic stability
This is about breaking cycles, not reinforcing them.
Disabled adults deserve: joy, connection, independence, access, and leadership
SAND is grassroots.
SAND is community-powered.
SAND is Disability-led.
Creating access. Building community. Uplifting lives.
Our Story
SAND was built from lived experience.
We know what it feels like to navigate systems alone. To search for connection and come up empty. To live in communities where accessibility is an afterthought.
Disabled adults deserve more than survival. They deserve community, belonging, and the opportunity to fully participate in life.
While larger cities often have more resources, many smaller and rural communities, like Corvallis, Albany, Philomath, and across Benton and Linn Counties, still lack accessible programs, transportation options, and Disability-led spaces.
SAND was created to change that.
We meet people where they are, literally and figurativel, to build something better.
